Collared doves are a regular visitor to our garden, and we have found them to be one of the braver birds, perfectly happy to stay in the garden with us, as long as we don’t get too close!
While clearing weeds from around our damson trees, last week, we found they had built a nest. Work in this area of the garden has been put on hold until they are ready to move on.
It was quite tricky to get a snap of this beauty, as they have found a well covered spot, and I didn’t want to get so close as to disturb him/her either.
You can find more information, about the collard dove, over at the RSPB’s website
